アカウントとデータの削除

This page explains how to request the deletion of your Votinova account and the personal data associated with it, and which data we are legally required to keep. It applies to the Votinova participant app (com.votinova.app.android) and to accounts created on Votinova.

Votinova is developed and operated by Atbion OÜ.

Participation in a live session is anonymous by default and does not require an account. This page concerns users who created an account (email/password, Google or Apple) or provided personal data in an identified session.

You can delete your account and its data yourself, at any time, directly in the app:

1. Open the Votinova app and sign in.
2. Go to Settings → Danger zone.
3. Tap Delete account.
4. Confirm your identity (password, two-factor code, or Google/Apple sign-in).
5. Confirm the deletion.

The deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once confirmed, your account cannot be recovered.

If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion by writing to privacy@votinova.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject "Account deletion". We may ask you to verify your identity before proceeding, in order to protect your data.

When your account is deleted, we remove the personal data linked to it, including:

• Your account profile: email address and name.
• Your profile picture, if you added one.
• Your responses and content linked to your identity in identified sessions (votes, open-ended answers, word-cloud entries).
• Your anonymous participant identifier stored on your device.
• Authentication data and any two-factor secret.

Some data cannot be deleted immediately because we are legally required to keep it, or because it no longer identifies you:

• Billing and invoicing records (only if you ever made a purchase): retained for 7 years, as required by the Estonian Accounting Act (Raamatupidamise seadus). These records are kept solely to comply with tax and accounting obligations and are not used for any other purpose.
• Aggregated and anonymised results of past sessions (totals, counts, aggregated word clouds) that no longer identify any individual are retained as part of the session's historical results.
• Minimal security and audit logs may be retained for a short period for fraud prevention and security, then deleted.

Once the applicable retention period ends, this data is deleted or remains permanently anonymised.

In-app deletion takes effect immediately. Deletion requests sent by email are processed without undue delay and, in any case, within 30 days of verifying your identity. Data kept under a legal obligation is deleted when its retention period expires.
